Welcome to HiP Community! HiP Community Space provides indoor and outdoor spaces with kitchen and laundry facilities, office space and consultation room, as well as an exhibition space and a community garden. It provides quality and flexible spaces used by multiple NGOs to deliver services such as meals distribution, legal consulting, and skills training to thousands of residents. Due to Hong Kong’s extreme density and limited domestic space, these community facilities are necessary components of housing provisions.

This Community Space is a physical facility that works in complementary to the Online Platform (the website), providing social services as well as knowledge dissemination. The facility is designed and constructed to be mobile and can be flexibly reused and relocated to different locations to provide service, so as to benefit more residents/communities in Hong Kong (As innovative, flexible, movable, and reusable forms of community space for designers and social workers to better and more effective to serve the communities in the future).

Welcome to the HiP Community! We are pleased to offer the following services from our community space:

Food distribution

380 hot meals are distributed to people experiencing homelessness, refugees and asylum seekers every week, in partnership with Praxis and Justice Centre. Delicious and nutritious food is cooked in our community kitchen to create positive and lasting social and health impacts.

Legal consultations

Free legal advice can be provided to refugees and asylum seekers by appointment, in partnership with Justice Centre.

Workshop
